Thinking About Visiting UCBC?
Visiting a church for the first time can be a tough experience. That’s why we want to try to put you at ease. Here are some brief answers to questions you may have. We hope it will help you better understand what you can expect on your first visit.
When do you have your services?
10:45 am – Bible Classes for all ages
12:00 pm – Worship service
Wednesdays – Midweek Bible study at 7:00 pm.
Each week people of all ages are strengthened, encouraged, and drawn closer to God through these special times together. Each service is carefully planned and prayed over so that God may work in your life.
What should I expect?
A small group of people who worship God in spirit and truth through heart-warming, conservative music and clear Bible teaching and preaching. During the 10:45 hour we enjoy some coffee and pastries and hear a Bible lesson that is both educational and practical. Our main worship service follows at 12:00 pm. During that time we sing together and then hear a clear, challenging, and helpful Bible message from our Pastor. This service lasts a little over an hour in length.
Who Attends UCBC?
We like to consider ourselves a small group of friends and family of all ages and from various areas of Vancouver. If you choose to visit us you will meet people from downtown, Strathcona, False Creek, and even East Van.
Where do you meet?
All our services are held at the Rosedale on Robson Suite Hotel located at 838 Hamilton Street in downtown Vancouver. When you enter the lobby at the hotel make your way up to the second floor and you will find us in the Chevalier room or the Michiko room. If you have any questions you can always ask about us at the front desk and they will gladly point you in the right direction.
Is there somewhere I can park my vehicle?
Yes. There is a parking lot located behind The Artworks building where you can park your vehicle free of charge. The Artworks is located on the corner of Smithe and Cambie Streets. Once you park your vehicle you can then proceed up the alley a short distance. The hotel will be on your left.
How should I dress?
Though you will find some of us in more traditional “Sunday” dress there is not a dress code for visitors or members at UCBC. We want you to feel welcome and comfortable on your visit with us.
Will I be expected to participate in any offerings?
No. We don’t invite people to UCBC for their offerings. We want our services to be a gift to them. Please do not feel any obligation to participate in the offering as our guest.
